Global Climate Change Research in Minnesota and Beyond

As naturalists we are uniquely positioned to engage members of the general public with important topics related to science and the natural world. Of particular interest to many visitors, teachers, and students is climate change - how and why the world around us is changing, how scientists study these changes, and what we can expect moving forward. This topic is one that is often controversial and complex to explain, but that's no reason to shy away from it! Come on a naturalist-oriented field trip to Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve, home to one of the world's longest-running field experiments on climate change and global change, to learn more about the basics of this topic and how to communicate it. Part of the visit will be spent inside discussing theory and global trends, and part will take place outdoors at the BioCON experiment itself. Come dressed for the weather.

Non-members can register after a designated waiting period and pay a $10 non-refundable fee. For workshops where space is limited, registration may be limited to members only.
