Are there accommodations for dietary needs?

Please indicate your dietary restrictions on your registration form and they will be passed along to the culinary staff at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center.

Do I need to bring extra food?

It is not necessary, but you will not be restricted from bringing your own snacks.  (However, we ask that you do not leave your snacks in your rooms, but in the designated areas - which will be laid out for you at check-in). Meals will be provided during the conference and snacks will be available during the times between meals.  You may also bring your own beverages (non-alcoholic and alcoholic are ok).

Can I attend if I'm not a naturalist, but work in an outdoor/environmental field?

Of course.  You do not need to be a naturalist to attend.  If you find the sessions, topics, key notes, and networking opportunities interesting and/or valuable, you should attend!

Do I have to spend the night to attend?

No.  There are options to attend the conference on Saturday only.  Or, if you would like to stay somewhere other than Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center, you are welcome to explore other options.  (However, there is no rate change if you choose the full conference option but plan to stay offsite).

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

There are elevators in the dorm and classroom buildings, but the road between buildings is gravel, not paved.  Find out more about accessibility at Eagle Bluff ELC.

Do I have to attend ALL the sessions?

No.  Each person is different.  Some conference participants attend all sessions and evening activities, others choose to attend some.  Pace yourself.  Need a nap, a walk outside, a chat with a new friend, do that.  We hope you find just the right balance of information, networking, time outdoors, and relaxation while you are at the conference.

What is the conference schedule?

Conference sessions will be finalized by mid-October, so check back then for more details.
